Approved pilotage service providers

Ports Victoria must establish and maintain a register of all pilotage services providers registered under Part 7.1 of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (the Act).

The register includes:

1. the name and address of the pilotage services provider; and
2. the name and identification number of any vessel to be used in connection with the provision of pilotage services; and
3. the date of commencement of the provision of pilotage services by the provider; and
4. the name and licence number of each pilot employed or engaged by the provider, or if the provider holds a pilot licence, the number of that licence; and
5. details of arrangements by the provider to transport pilots other than by vessel; and
6. any other information determined by Ports Victoria to be included in the register.
   • The information listed below has been collected and is displayed pursuant to these obligations. In accordance with the relevant legislation, a pilotage services provider must notify Ports Victoria within 14 days after any change to information recorded in the register.
   • This register does not advise whether pilots listed are currently available and Ports Victoria recommends that customers confirm with the associated pilotage service providers that the listed pilots are available to operate under the requirements of the relevant legislation before engaging a pilot for piloting services.
